As a continuation of our Love Thy Neighbor Initiative, join the Matthew 13 Catholic Collaborative as we head to Maine to sow the seeds of God's Love among the Sudanese and Somali immigrant communities.
We will be joining the Experience Mission organization as they lead us and other teams on an urban mission trip to Portland. We will serve alongside three incredible local organizations doing great things for their local community: The Root Cellar, Preble Street, and the Portland Housing Authority.
Our cost is $375 per person which includes meals and lodging while in Maine. $100 per person is due as a deposit to hold your space. Balance will be due in portions over the spring and summer. We intend to provide fundraising opportunities over the summer to help defray the cost for all who sign up.

A parish leader who recently led a group to Portland with Experience Mission had this to say:
In my 20 years of service in Youth Ministry, I have taken kids to Kenya, Romania, Costa Rica, Cuba, and Mexico. I think the week in Portland was almost as impactful for students because they met people from some of those places and so many more. They heard stories about struggles during civil war, famine, and extreme poverty. They heard the frustrations of the refugee process . . . I would highly recommend this trip!
